Roseland Cottage, 1846
Route 169
Woodstock, Conn. 06281
(860) 928-4074
Acres: 2

The grounds at the Roseland Cottage illustrate the landscape theories of Andrew Jackson Downing. The two-acres surrounding this 1846 Gothic Revival home feature the only boxwood garden of its kind in the region. A parterre garden, set out in 1850, is the centerpiece of the landscape. The Roseland Cottage grounds may be enjoyed during museum hours.
